Does Low Testosterone Cause Hair Loss
Low Testosterone does not cause androgenic alopecia or any other kind of hair loss. It’s
actually the reverse is true. High Testosterone levels can contribute to hair loss in those who would eventually go bald anyway, but it does not effect those who would not ever bald naturally.
The reason High Testosterone can contribute to hair loss in those predisposed is through conversion on the testosterone molecule in the body by the enzyme 5-Alpha Reductase “5AR” into Dihydrotestosterone “DHT” which is 5x more potent than testosterone in activating your androgen (male hormone) receptors.
High Testosterone can produce excess DHT production which will saturate the androgen receptors in the hair follicle cells of those who are predisposed to go bald. The hair follicle is sensitive to a type of programmed cell death called apoptosis when stimulated strongly in it’s androgen receptor, if and only if balding happens to be in your genetics. That is why guys who were already going bald make lose the rest of their hair if they start testosterone replacement therapy.
Hair loss during TRT can be combatted by the application of “Finasteride” a drug that inactivates the 5 alpha reductase enzyme by about 50% thereby lowering your DHT levels by about 50% as well. This works really well for a lot of guys experiencing hair loss from testosterone, and I know a lot of guys who use this with their TRT testosterone use. If you don’t want to get HCG from your doctor it is not illegal to posses and you can buy it from the place i’ve tested and recommend. Here is the link RXonlinePharmacy
Does Low Testosterone Cause Hair Loss? Yes, Testosterone Can cause increased hair loss in those individuals who may already be predisposed towards androgenic alopecia or male pattern baldness.
If you are wondering about your testosterone levels if they are high or if they are low or if they
are normal, my advice is to just take care of it and get your testosterone levels checked. The whole thing took less than an hour and was under a hundred bucks with no insurance.
If you know whether you are high or if you are low at least you will know whether or not low testosterone is something you need to worry about.
I don’t have health insurance but it wasn’t a problem because
I used PersonaLabs when I first got my testosterone levels checked, it was easy because I just paid online, showed up to the lab, went home, and viewed my results online.
PersonaLabs is a Blood Work Lab with locations all over the USA who do private blood work.
You buy the “Free and Total Testosterone Test” show up to a labcorp location (There are literally at least 50 of these blood work labs in every medium sized city in the USA) Labcorp takes a vial of your blood, and a few days later send you your testosterone results online.
