Challenge Your Beliefs

You’re probably seeking meaning in life.  Everyone does, it’s a natural human thing to do.  Some people do it through religion, others do it through conquering things, some do it through social relationships and financial status.

But what about you? how do you apply meaning to your life?

I grew up in a middle class background and was taught that meaning in life came from going to school getting good grades, going to college, living in the USA and getting a corporate job, leaving in the morning to go to work, coming home in the evening, getting married, having a family, going to church, finish working for someone at about age 65, Retiring,  and then dying.  

yeah, that was pretty abrupt huh. and then dying.

the fact is that most of us grow up under similar circumstances to how i did and most of us are taught an outline through our parents, cultures, and societies to find a meaningful fulfilling life through those above written things.

any attempt to deviate your life from the outline of Born, School, Job, Married, Kids, Retire, Die, will be met with fierce resistance from your culture, family, and society.

Oh and add one more thing.  You can never go live in another country.  If you think of living in another country and do that, people in your home country will likely think you’ve lost your mind.

these are all examples of some of the forces that are acting on you to encourage you to live your life like everyone else. A normal person.

are you a normal person? are you average?

if the answer is “no” then you shouldn’t be following a normal life path.  you’ve gotta be ‘You’ and figure out what it is you like to do.  What you want to get out of life.  Then set a goal and devote your life’s time to pursuing the things you decide are important to you.

this may seem like really basic simple stuff, and it is, but they are thoughts that are taboo, and you aren’t allowed to have them lol

I hope that by reading this page you’ve had a small awakening to the fact that there are powerful cultural forces acting on your mind.  Your life was being planned and controlled since before you were born by the society, culture, and country you were born into.  If you like that, that is fine, but you don’t have to accept the path laid out before you by your culture.  You can choose your own life’s path bro.  It just doesn’t change the fact that if you do you will be met with resistance from every direction.

The greatest gift i’ve received as being Dan the Bodybuilder in Thailand and going on my travels and living my alternative lifestyle around the world is that I AM COMFORTABLE WITH ME.  I know who i am, i know what i am, i have no secrets, and i’m comfortable, i accept it.  I’ve seen the world, i’ve seen the different countries and the different cultures and the different beliefs each have about what is true and what is not.  I no longer am shackled by only one perspective. I got rid of the veil of never having lived away from the country and culture i was born into.

I’m a peculiar person, my eyes have been opened.
