Welcome to My Redcon1 Cluster Bomb Review.  I’m your host Dan the Bodybuilder from Thailand.

Redcon1 Cluster Bomb is an intra-workout drink.  That means you are supposed to drink it during your workout.  The active ingredient in Cluster Bomb is called “Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin”.  Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin is a refined carbohydrate source that is absorbed from the gut and taken into muscles as glycogen fuel more readily than glucose as well as any other carbohydrate on earth.  In the late 90’s studies investigating the effects of cyclic dextrin on exercise were performed.  Through these studies it was shown that people who took in cyclic dextrin before or during exercise, were able to exercise harder and longer without difficulty.  Cyclic Dextrin (The Active Ingredient in Redcon1 Cluster Bomb) allows you to workout harder and longer without perceiving an increase in difficulty.  During the studies on cyclic dextrin, it was shown that people using it considered their exercise to be less difficult than they did when they had only drank a normal sugary sports drink.

Cyclic Dextrin is the superior carbohydrate source for athletes.  It’s a bit of a luxury, yes all carbohydrate sources will help you exercise but cyclic dextrin is the cream of the crop.

Redcon1 Cluster Bomb Intra-Workout

I’ve been hearing about “cyclic dextrin” and seeing more and more bodybuilders use it duringare steroids bad their workouts so I decided to give it a shot.  I picked up some Redcon1 Cluster Bomb and experimented with drinking it during a few workouts.  The main effect was muscle pump, this stuff contributes way more to giving me a pump than stimulant preworkouts do.  After all these years in the gym I am very aware that eating carbs is the most important factor in achieving a pump in the gym.  Often times I eat sweet tarts or gummy bears before training to help me get the pump and have more energy to train harder for longer.  Candy has always worked pretty good for me but I felt a distinct difference having the Cyclic Dextrin carbohydrate contained in the Redcon1 Cluster Bomb.  Drinking one scoop of cluster bomb in a 9oz bottle of water for a few workouts I experienced significantly increased muscle pump in the gym.  One of my favorite things about going to the gym is getting a pump.  I “enjoy” supplements that get my muscles full and swollen with blood.

During my Redcon1 Cluster Bomb review experiment I did not experience any increased energy in the gym.  It’s hard for me to decide whether or not I like “eating” carbs during my workout.  Drinking this during my workout gave me a bit of a sleepy or fuzzy feeling while I trained.  Obviously this was caused by the increase in blood sugar and resulting insulin spike.  So while I did get noticeably more pumped up muscles and fuller muscle pump using Cyclic Dextrin, I did not experience any increase in energy during my workout. In fact I experienced the opposite of increased energy.  I experienced a slight decrease in energy while working out and drinking Cluster Bomb at the same time.

Conclusion

I like the Cyclic Dextrin carb product that is the active ingredient making Redcon1 Cluster Bomb work.  However, I’m not really a fan of drinking or eating sugar during my workout because it saps my energy a bit.  Personally, I think this product is better to drink immediately before your workout, and then just drink water in the gym.
