3 No Bullshit Workouts for Football Mass Strength and Explosiveness
What’s Up Dude,
I started playing tackle football when I was 11 years old in Pop Warner. It was Immediately obvious even at that age, that the bigger, faster, stronger kids dominated. If you weren’t big enough or strong enough to get hit hard you got lit up.
Football is a game of dominance. Kill or be killed. If your team isn’t big and strong enough to win, then the kids on the team who are big and strong enough are going to have their way with you, and dominate you. Run you over.
Unacceptable.
You need to get in the Weight Room and build Real Football Mass Strength and Explosiveness.
Stay awake from bullshit bodybuilding routines you get from friends, or on internet discussion forums. Stay away from the useless shit in the magazines. That’s all out there to try and appeal to the masses, get attention, and trick you into buying snake-oil products.
The following 3 programs are The 3 No Bullshit Workouts for Football Mass Strength and Explosiveness that that college football players have been using for decades to get RESULTS. These aren’t “Hype” this is the tried and true shit that the Collegiate Trainers are getting their athletes to do, and it’s making a difference in their game on the football field.
– Starting Strength – The First Program –
Starting Strength – This is The Best Program For Football Players Who are New to Weight Lifting
This program is #1 for maximally developing power, speed, and strength as short a time as possible for players new to weight lifting for use on the Football Field Immediately.
If you are looking for a routine to develop the beach muscles, this is not it.
This program focuses exclusively on the muscles that make you a beast when you are in a fight. Squats and Deadlifts to develop maximal strength in the legs, hips, and back. Overhead Presses to develop the pushing power of the deltoids and triceps. Bench Presses to build the ability to shove defenders backwards. Pull Ups to develop max strength in tackling and the ability to hang on and not let go. And finally, Power Cleans to develop the Acceleration and Explosion that will give you the increased speed you need on the football field.
I did this program for the first year of my weight lifting. It is what it is. No nonsense, just getting good at the exercises that will get you the maximal results the quickest. It takes advantage of progressive overload increasing the weights used each training session until your body cannot recover quickly enough anymore, at which point you will be a novice/intermediate weight lifter and it will be time to move onto a 5×5 routine.
-StrongLifts – The Second Program –
http://stronglifts.com/5×5/
This program is very popular and for good reason. The guy put together a classic 5×5 routine for power, mass and strength, and then created a site with videos of how to do the exercises and all kinds of helpful shit and great explanations.
Personally, I think ‘Madcow’ is a better version of the 5×5 and is my preference over stronglifts 5×5.
-Madcow 5×5 Intermediate – The Third Program
http://jcdfitness.com/2010/02/bill-starr-madcow-5×5-intermediate-training/
I had some of the best strength gains of my life on this program.
For this program each lift you perform will have 5lbs added to the bar each workout. I hit personal records on every lift for 11 straight weeks doing the Madcow 5×5 workout. My Bench Press, Squat, and Deadlift all increased 55lbs for a 5 rep max set. Imagine if your entire football team did that. 11 men each producing an extra 55lbs of force on the field would be able to push the other team backwards with an added 605lbs of total force. That’s similar to having two or three extra lineman on the field.
Wow. That’s all I can say.
Generally, this is the same type of No Bullshit exercises as Starting Strength but with a few extra bodybuilding type movements like triceps extensions and biceps curls for football players who are intermediate lifters.

As far as The strongest legal supplementation for Football Mass Strength and Explosiveness, it’s definitely Ostarine. Before you use supplementation make sure to read this website’s Medical Disclaimer and check the rules on banned substance in your sport’s governing body.
Creatine is good for some mild help too, and is not banned in most all sports.
