Getting a solid night’s sleep is absolutely vital for muscle growth and recovery. Take your sleep as seriously as you take your training and nutrition.

Some Guys train in the mornings other guys like to train at night after work or class.  I prefer to train in the evenings around 6-8pm.

Sometimes after taking my pre workout drink in the evening I then finish my workout go home, have dinner, relax a bit, and then try to fall asleep but end up staring at my ceiling for 2 or 3 hours before finally drifting off.

This sucks, I want my goddam energy in the gym, I want to train in the evening when I feel my strongest, and I want to get to sleep at a reasonable hour.

Well you could smoke weed, that helps with getting to sleep.  Weed gives me massive munchies though and since i’m usually perma-cutting smoking weed much doesn’t fit my lifestyle.

The sleep supplement Melatonin works amazingly for me in situations like these.

If I can’t sleep after my evening pre workout energy drink then I pop 5mg Melatonin an hour before I need to be in bed sleeping and I sleep like a baby.  It’s cool because when I wake up I feel great too.

It doesn’t seem like much if any tolerance builds to this stuff either, I just keep it on hand in my
