2018 Merry Christmas – Year in Review

This was a big year for me. the year started off spending Christmas with my bodybuilding friends coach vigorous steve and Dr. Tony Huge in Bangkok Thailand. For Christmas we ate a bunch of food, hung out together, and filmed a youtube workout video in the gym.

From the time of new years until march I was working on increasing my training intensity to try and get more gains in the gym. I had decided that I was stopping too soon when I was struggling or thought that I couldn’t do another rep, I needed to struggle for longer. I started working on that, struggling for longer during my sets when I thought I couldn’t do any more reps. My physique was responding to this and I was making nice gains using 4iu of norditropin human growth hormone per day, 700mg testosterone propionate per week, and 700mg primobolan per week. I continued this PED stack for most of 2018 until July when I stopped using human growth hormone and have not used any since that time. I had used it for a year at that point, it was expensive, and it didn’t do nearly as much for my physique as testosterone does. However it is useful and I do like it, but through my experimentation I learned that HGH to me is just luxury item, and I don’t need it. During 2018 I decided I’m not really interested in utilizing growth hormone anymore until I’m an old man 65+ and need it for anti-aging purposes. I don’t feel it’s necessary for my goals (a golden era bodybuilder physique).

In March I met Super League Pro Bodybuilder Aaron Reed and was training partners with him during the month. The training intensity that Aaron brought to his workout scared the shit out of me. This was my chance to learn what I needed to learn in order to take my physique to a greater level. Aaron taught me how to train with maximum intensity. Training together we were able to push each other to limits we did not know our bodies could reach. Training was so brutal, I many time fell asleep on the floor of my apartment immediately after the workout.

From that point in march until now the end of 2018 my physique made the best gains of my life and this was because of 2 reasons. Control over the food entering my mouth and having learned how to increase my training intensity through being training partners with Aaron Reed. My steroids, PED’s etc. didn’t change. Dosages stayed the same during this time, the only thing that changed was adherence to diet and dungeon slayer style training in the gym. Pretty cool. This taught me a lot about the body and how insignificant performance enhancing drugs are compared to the fundamental building blocks of bodybuilding Genetics, Diet, Training.

In April I took my second trip to the Philippines and had the time of my life. From the moment I got off the plane in the Philippines I was like a literal celebrity to those cute philippina girls. They are crazed about foreigners. They go berserk for foreigners. Pretty funny.

I traveled back to Thailand the last day of the month and had surgery to repair an umbilical hernia I had in my belly button for a year already. The surgery was decent and I had a lot of pretty nurses taking care of me out in the countryside of northern Thailand out in Korat. They really made my hospital stay as enjoyable as it could have been. The surgery really put me down for about 3 weeks. Couldn’t do much other than walk around and I had this really shitty wound drainage tube coming out of my abdomen draining blood into a bottle that I had to strap to my waist and carry around with me at all times.  Slowly I recovered and then started training again lightly 30 days after the surgery, and then set a new deadlift personal record at 535lbs 60 days after the hernia surgery.

By may 25th 2018, I was 26 days past my hernia surgery and I knew where I wanted to be, and I was on my way back there. The Philippines. This time I was headed to Cebu island. I had rented an Airbnb condominium in once of the nicest high rises in the city for $650 for a month. I was so excited to explore Cebu! As soon as I landed I quickly got to work setting my bags down and then heading out to the malls and markets in the city to meet the people (especially the beautiful young women hehe). It did not take long at all before there were more pinay girls than I could handle, these cuties in this city wanted to be my girlfriend, but one stuck out the most and had the sweetest personality so I hung out with her most of the time I was in Cebu.

In mid July I left Cebu to meet up with Dr. Tony Huge in Angeles City Philippines. I stayed in Angeles City from mid July until the first week of September. Tony and I had a great time eating, bodybuilding in the gym, taking photos and making videos, and then going out at night and meeting all the bizarre and hilarious characters that the Philippines and especially Angeles City is crawling with lol. Living the bodybuilding lifestyle with your bro is really a good experience.

Taking a vacation even for just one month to do this and only this would be worth it. Wake up meet with gym partner and go eat, then go to gym training, and then finish training chat in the gym with people for awhile, do some photos and then go eat post workout meal. Next shower and meet up with our girlfriends. Again, getting a girlfriend is very easy in the Philippines. If you are a foreigner and you act socially normal easy opportunities will prevent themselves. Later on at night we would meet up and go eat again and then hangout at a bar or lounge or rooftop club or somewhere, then Tony and I would brainstorm and film youtube videos and content ideas.

The first week of September I visited the united states again for the first time since 2015. This was a big step for me, I had quite a bit of animosity and hard feelings built up against the states when I left, and I left to live in a different country for a reason. Anyways, I came back to the states for 2 weeks for my sister’s wedding, it was great seeing family, but I was very uncomfortable being in the USA. This is something I would like to work on. I would like to feel more neutral, and don’t want to hang onto resentment or negativity. So going forward, I will work to resolve the mental conflict I have with the political but mostly social climate of the united states, so that I can have a more chill perspective.

Last week of September I headed out to Colombia for my first trip to south America. I ended up staying there for 3 months. I really had an interesting time here. Colombia is way different than Asia. I had culture shock my first 3 weeks in Colombia. I was staying in the city of Medellin where the Famous Cartel Boss Pablo Escobar used to live. I felt like I couldn’t predict anyone’s body language and I was suspicious and my nerves were on fire! Very uncomfortable first few weeks, this was heavily compounded by the fact I was staying in the central area of downtown where the most homicides and violent rapes occur. Some of the stuff I saw in this area, the anarchy, and lawlessness, the seizing of power by small groups in the absence of a state body in power. Really life changing stuff to see. In Colombia many things which are known to be taboo or against the law worldwide are done completely out in the open and in plain site of law enforcement with no repercussions.

Colombian women are the most beautiful I’ve seen in the world. They have white cream skin and naturally ‘fertile’ looking bodies, if you catch my drift. What’s funny is the amount of butt injections in Colombia. The social pressure to have a large ass is so strong that I would go as far as saying 1 in 3 women in Colombia has Synthol injected in her ass. The trend is so pervasive you will even see middle aged women doing it lol. Colombian women in Colombia were really flaky about showing up for appointments, that was a noticeable drawback to dating in Colombia. I was going to a chain of gyms in Medellin called smartfit great chain of modern gyms located within malls and good price.

I especially enjoyed learning to speak Spanish while living in Colombia. The Colombians do not speak English. It isn’t like Thailand where they know some English words. The average person in Colombia does not know any English words. So if you go there you have to speak Spanish. I did not know this but learned it within moments after arriving in Medellin. I downloaded an app on my phone called duoLingo and without any formal teaching was able to speak and listen enough to get the things I needed with a month, and make people laugh within 2 months. I was practicing on average about two and a half hours per day and then going out and using the language I had practiced as I tried speaking to Colombians at the coffee shop, supermarket, gym etc.

In December I came down with a life threatening necrosis in my leg from a botched injection of gear.  I was stuck in the hospital in Colombia while in critical condition after spending the 10k USD I had in the bank on the first surgery I needed I found out I needed more surgeries.  Out of money,  my friends and followers from the internet and social media came to my rescue and donated the thousands of dollars I needed to save my leg and my life while in Colombia.  With their help I had the surgeries I needed and am now in the United States recovering.

-Merry Christmas guys and a happy new year =)

    Merry Christmas Dan.
Hope you will get to Thailand and begin living life as you prefer, again.
Been through the exact same scenario as you are currently dealing with, only mine took 3 years and 24 operations to fix. (No joke!).
    Best of luck from Bangkok.
